T in the Park 2010

Despite having a screwed arm (dodgy ligament) I really enjoyed this years T.  Due to the arm I was given a lighter schedule by the pic desk, very kind.  And apart from The Sunshine Underground who I shot from stage, I didn't shoot past the 1st 3 songs for any band.  I would have loved to have more songs for Eminem or Muse, but then again I love keeping it simple sometimes.  Seeing what I can get out of those 3 tunes.  That got me thinking, and I realised that of my 5 NME covers, 4 are live shots, and all 4 were shot in the 1st 3 songs.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these photo's as much as I enjoyed shooting em.

Totally forgot I'd shot this!

I hooked up with my awesome buddies in Enter Shikari and asked them if they minded if I filmed them on onstage, I had a new mic for my 5D mkII and wanted to test it out.

This is the first tune of the set (including a walk on) I shot loads more, but as it was a mic test I fucked some of it up.  Hopefully it'll all see the light of day some time...

I wanted the Official website to have exclusivity for a while, hence not posting these up for ages.

Beach Break Live Festival is without doubt one of my highlights from this summer, awesome site, people, crew, punters, location, weather, etc etc etc...

Click below for a 300+ (!!!!) image gallery...  should keep you busy over lunch...

Alan Moore

When the NME asked me if I wanted to shoot Alan Moore I was a little more than excited.  Alan is literally a living legend.  Creator of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,

V for Vendetta, From Hell and of course Watchmen. I had 10 minutes inside and 10 outside.  We chatted about how ace we both thought Tilda Swinton is.  I really love her in Constantine.  I digress.
The first frame I shot both in and out doors, I knew where the shots.  I then spent 9 minutes either side getting options for the magazine.  But in the end, they actually ran with the very first shot I took (see below).
Alan has such a powerful presence that you really don't have to shoot him with a complex set up.  The below was one light, the others natural light. We actually shot in a music studio, very limited in terms of location, but they had this acient wall in one room, and a lovely outdoor area, so I used those.
